Inexplicable scents on the breeze of a fresh spring day, coaxed open by the rays of the sun and yesterday's cool rain. Tiny white buds hesitant to the new weather, slowly rising from the soil to the air in search of winged lovers, offering them perfume and pollen in return for procreation. 

Lush pink blooms too heavy for their stems stir the animal nature of ants who rush in for the intoxicating nectar hidden between calyx and petal. Purple and white clusters spill from the bushes, as if to announce "finally, spring is here" and then they disappear into the sweet green of the land.

SPRING EPHEMERAL is a floral exploration of notes that alchemically synergize to create nuances resembling the uncaptured flowers of the season. Let your mind float away with this one, as it is indeed ephemeral .. the flowers open and close and weave in and out of identity.
It is a mysterious elixir of spring!

Opens brightly with a veil of lily of the valley, Parma violets, and crisp neroli and  
unfolds with sweet flowers of the midday sun; lilac blossoms, garden peonies, grape hyacinths. The drydown reveals soft, not too-powdery florals of blue iris, jasmine, ylang ylang, and ever so tender inferences of freshly laid cedar mulch.

This is a daring perfume to attempt - as to reach for the flowers that have been so coveted and yet unattainable - suggests perhaps hubris or ignorance, depending on your perspective. These flowers; the rich, sweet lilacs, the stunning blue iris, and exquisite lily of the valley ... these flowers arrive in spring to our extreme pleasure and leave just as quickly. I am not so vain as to think I can truly replicate or capture them, rather, this perfume is a humble, playful romp in the realm of these fleeting flowers, the sheer exuberance of spring's arrival, and the magic of aromatic synergy.
